The broader Bordeaux region, situated by the Atlantic coast, is the world's most famous wine region and has been exporting wine since the Middle Ages. Fronsac was granted AOC status in 1937 and encompasses approximately 770 hectares of vineyards cultivated by around 100 producers. The local terroir features a mixture of limestone, sandstone, and clay on the hilly terrain around Tertre de Fronsac. The appellation exclusively produces red wines, primarily based on Merlot, which accounts for nearly 80 percent of the plantings, supplemented by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a small amount of Malbec. Historically, Fronsac is recognized as one of Bordeaux's strongest alternatives to the neighboring appellations of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Château Arnauton","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57297595302214,"sku":null,"price":1600.0,"currency_code":"DKK","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0646\/3478\/1950\/files\/generated-1037_f23f8521-5604-43c0-8c39-e191ae1616c6.jpg?v=1788861380","url":"https:\/\/bottleswithhistory.dk\/en\/products\/fronsac-chateau-arnauton-1966","provider":"Bottles With History","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
