Robin.

Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion is one of the four satellite AOCs surrounding the renowned Saint-Émilion appellation in the Libournais district of Bordeaux. Located to the northeast of Saint-Émilion, the area was granted AOC status in 1936 and covers approximately 740 hectares of vineyards around the village of Puisseguin. Bordeaux itself is situated by the Atlantic Ocean and has been exporting wine since the Middle Ages, with the Right Bank being the traditional domain of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The local climate is characterized by Atlantic influences moderated by the Dordogne river, providing mild temperatures and suitable humidity.

The soils on the higher slopes consist mainly of limestone and clay with good drainage, along with asteries limestone in certain parcels. These conditions are highly favorable for the area's red wines, which are predominantly made from Merlot. This grape typically makes up 70 to 85 percent of the production, supplemented by Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a smaller amount of Malbec. The 1982 vintage is described as legendary, rich, and balanced, achieving a score of 97 points.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/3478/1950/files/generated-849_4a81d5c6-5587-43aa-a2ac-d45b4091060c.jpg?v=1787827886
